THE 2017 Barbados Relay Fair is expected to have an even greater overseas contingent than last year’s event.
Going under the banner Barbados Relay Fair Ensure Edition Tokyo Starts Now, the February 11 event is expected to attract approximately 75 overseas athletes at the National Stadium.
“We know for a fact that two school teams from Bermuda are coming. The Cougars [2016 champions from Trinidad] are coming back and the Thomas Saunders Secondary School from St Vincent, they are definitely coming.
“There are others who are in communication with us, but we can’t say definitively they are coming until we know they have booked their tickets,” event director June Rudder said at a press launch at Sky Mall on Wednesday. (RG)
