ST MICHAEL NORTH WEST are the new champions of the National Sports Council/Youth Development Programme Under-17 Football Tournament.

Captain Kavian Inniss scored a fortuitous goal in the 15th minute as St Michael North West defeated St Michael East 1-0 in the final at the Briar Hall Playing field on Saturday night.

A goal keeping error by Devon Sam, who let a seemingly harmless ball slip through his hands, left Inniss with an easy task to tap it over the goalline, much to the delight of his teammates and their supporters. (EZS)
