ENTERTAINMENT EVENTS won’t be causing a problem for Kensington Oval’s outfield anymore.

The days of dropping huge stages on the field are coming to an end as Kensington Oval Management Inc. (KOMI) is set to acquire a mobile stage to host future shows.

Sources revealed that KOMI expects to get the stage within months in an effort to reduce the damage to the grass caused by the bigger and heavy metal stages.

Stored and moved as a trailer container, the mobile electromechanical stage, which is fully automated, is operated by remote and is raised off the ground before folding down into a bigger structure.

The roof then goes up and folds open to provide an additional platform. (JM)
