LET’S GET THE SHOW on the road.
That’s the consensus among many residents and workers in St James in response to the Aron and Christina Truss Foundation’s proposed $3.6 million plan to repave the seven-kilometre route along Highway 1 from Spring Garden to Holetown.
While all agreed the private sector-led plan was a good one, some people were slightly perturbed that they would essentially be double paying for a service for which they paid road tax.
Outside Jordan’s Supermarket in Fitts Village, near a large pothole, resident Anthony Aaron said he agreed with the private sector-led idea to fix the roads. (AD)
