AMID CLAIMS and counterclaims about the “suspicious” behaviour of a woman outside a bank over the weekend, the police are warning customers to follow their tips when using ATMs.
It follows a video alerting users at the Republic Bank, Wildey, St Michael branch about a woman beckoning exiting ATM users over to her car.
In the video the woman, who gave her name as Kim, recounted how while waiting for another customer to exit the ATM, she noticed a woman in a parked navy blue Suzuki Swift.
“The lady was calling to me, ‘help, help’, something about her child, ‘come and assist’ . . . . I started to walk towards her but something seemed strange. I slowed down and did not see a child in the car. Then I recognised her face – this is a lady that I had previously reported to the police about a year ago who was trying to lure people to her car,” said Kim, adding that at the time the woman claimed to be selling perfumes.
