BARBADIAN COMPANY Preconco Limited has secured a major contract in Bermuda.
This was announced by operations manager Joshua Read, who said the project involved the construction of an international resort and that Preconco beat out several American precast companies.
He also said that along with creating about 250 jobs, both directly and indirectly, the project would bring foreign exchange into Barbados.
“This contract in Bermuda is something that we have been working on for the past two years. It has been a very involved process because the requirements of this project are very stringent. The codes and the regulations that we need to work with are very stringent, and we have undergone several analyses of the operation here to make sure that we can conform to those requirements,” Read said.
