THE DISCOVERY OF dead rats at the School Meals Service’s Lancaster, St James branch, ground work to a halt for the second straight day.
After returning to work on Wednesday following a three-week vacation, workers were greeted by a putrid smell from the building.
As a result, health authorities were called in to investigate the situation and it was discovered that the scent was due to several dead rats on the compound.
The discovery prompted authorities from the Ministry of Health to order a full industrial cleaning of the building. (RB)
