PARADISE are the new Under-23 champions of the Karson Bovell Northern Development Cup.

The outcome had to be decided by a penalty shoot-out, which was won 4-2 by Paradise against St Andrew Lions at the Boscobel Playing Field on Monday night after the scores were locked 1-1 at the end of regulation and extra time.

The sides were evenly matched in the first half, with each team finding it difficult to make the breakthrough.

However, Paradise’s skilful national junior players Elijah Downey and Najee Holder made some outstanding goal-scoring attempts. (RG)
