A CHRIST CHURCH man is expected to appear in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court tomorrow charged with four cannabis-related offences.
He is 52-year-old fisherman Austin Leroy Small of 3rd Avenue Eudalrick Drive, Chancery Lane North.
According to police, Small was seen onboard a fishing vessel on December 29, 2016 during an operation at the Bridgetown Fisheries Complex.
A search of the boat revealed seven packages of cannabis in an icebox. Police say the f cannabis weighed 152 kilogrammes (335 pounds) and had a street value of $608 000.
Small was charged with possession of cannabis, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation. (PR/NB)
