NEVER MIND a bit of fumbling about for light switches, visually impaired 58-year-old Elviston Maloney cleans like a professional.
His hands move double the speed at Christmas.
During a visit to his Gall Hill, Christ Church home last Friday, the head of the Association for the Blind and Deaf said the disability had never hindered him from living life to the fullest, and particularly enjoying the best of the Yuletide season.
Maloney, who is single, uses his sense of smell a whole lot to get by.
“The difficult part of cleaning is to get this stuff moved because you need to move a lot of the heavy stuff, and then you have to get them put back,” said the information technology coordinator. (MR)
