BARBADOS-BASED former British Rally champion Harold ‘Doc’ Morley teamed up with Jamaican Mathew Gore and won JA8 in the recently-held Richard Stewart Rally Jamaica.
Morley, who has contested the gruelling Jamaica event for the past ten years, was the only entry from Barbados.
Driving a Subaru Impreza, Morley returned a total elapsed time of 2:30.24 hours to win the group and place fifth overall.
Organised by Lawrence Henriques and Marcia Dawes under the auspices of the Jamaica Race Drivers Club and with the late withdrawal of the NACAM Regional Rally Championship, the event was staged, as in previous years, without the Nacam Rally component. (TT)
