IT’S CHRISTMAS, and for those on the island’s platinum west coast, celebrity sightings have become the norm.

So it was no surprise when British entertainment mogul Simon Cowell arrived for his usual December visit, to get away from the cold English weather.

The 57-year-old philanthropist did the usual at One Sandy Lane beach in St James, interacting with children, tourists and locals alike.

Cowell, the benefactor of an animal charity here, and his fiancée Lauren Silverman not only chatted with beachgoers, but also took selfies with some of the children, signed autographs, and then hit the waves on a jet ski. (BA)
