WHILE MOST BARBADIANS were making last-minute preparations for Christmas Day, more than 300 young footballers were trying to score goals yesterday.

The National Sports Council/Youth Development Programme Community Under-17 Tournament continued with 12 matches at four venues across the island.

Matches were played at Dover in Christ Church, Speightstown in St Peter, Gall Hill, St John, and the Barbados Lumber Company field in Waterford, St Michael.
