THE 62ND EDITION of the Journal of the Barbados Museum and Historical Society was launched earlier this week. It has been hailed by retiring editor Dr Karl Watson as the best in the 20 years he worked on the publication.
The journal was said to be significant since it also came during the year the island celebrated 50 years of independence and the 200th anniversary of the Bussa rebellion.
Watson said the journal contains nine articles by historians and researchers on a wide range of topics. The contributors include Dr Jean Holder, Peter Laurie, Lynette Eastmond, Dr Marcia Burrowes, Dr Lennox Honychurch and Robert Morris.
Watson said there were two articles in the journal that every Barbadian should read: one on the new Jewish tombstones and the other on Barbadian natural history. (LK)
