A ST JAMES man is seeing red after discovering a pool of blood in his yard which he says originates from a backyard slaughterhouse located on a hill near his home.
Emerson Taitt has had to deal with a serious case of the run-off from a resident suspected of slaughtering and discarding the remains of the animals without due consideration.
The 68-year-old retired carpenter of Berbice No.1 contacted the MIDWEEK NATION and showed them the blood that had settled in his backyard.
“The water is coming in my yard and you could smell the pig [dung] and burning of bellies so it get overbearing. This was going [on] for a long time; it was four years my mother dead and this was going on. Ever since Black Rock [polyclinic] know about this situation. So they just sitting down doing nothing.” (JS)
