WILL THE NATIONAL UNION of Public Workers (NUPW) be naughty or nice this Christmas week?
The answer to that should be known today, after a 2 p.m. meeting with management of Grantley Adams International Airport Inc. (GAIA).
General secretary Roslyn Smith said she hoped some “common sense” would prevail on the matter of the six per cent increase for workers the NUPW has on the table.
“We would expect some closure to the prolonged talks, because you can’t go on forever. So I hope some common sense will prevail [today] so that everyone can enjoy their Christmas,” she told the DAILY NATION yesterday. (YB)
