Transport body weighs proposals of PSV operators

THE TRANSPORT AUTHORITY is conducting a number of surveys on several routes to determine how to act on proposals put forward by privately-owned public service vehicle (PSV) owners.

More than six months ago, the Association of Public Transport Operators (APTO) and the Alliance Owners of Public Transport (AOPT) requested to once again be allowed to drop off and pick up passengers along the important Tudor Street area, as well as asking to be allowed to drive through Baxters Road on their way back into Bridgetown.

The operators claim the Transport Authority’s continued decision to not allow PSV operators to pick up commuters from the bus stop on Tudor Street gives the Transport Board a decided economic advantage.
