SCHOOL SHOULD NEVER be just about academics.
That was the word to Harrison College students from former teacher Stephen Scott, as he addressed the outstanding children at his alma mater during the school’s speech day this morning.
While he commended students and teachers at the school for the performance in the year under review, Scott urged students to focus on the “soft” skills as well.
The deputy principal of Parkinson Memorial Secondary School said in addition to high scholastic excellence, students should also strive for great prowess in arts, sports and become involved in extra-curricular activities available through the various clubs at the school. (YB)
