FOUR SWIMMERS showed their star power on the final day of the Powerade Barbados Olympic Association’s Independence Short Course Swimming Championships at the Wildey Aquatic Centre.
McCallum Clarke, Adia Deane, Nkosi Dunwoody and Kerry Ollivierre were the standouts on Sunday.
Clarke was dominant in the boys’ 11-12 age group as he took titles in the 100 metres breaststroke in a time of 1 minute 10.61 seconds, 200 metres backstroke (2:25.06), 50 metres backstroke (31.36) and had a second place in the 50 metres freestyle won by Kai Trotman in 27.02 seconds.
Omari Sealy put his trademark stamp among the boys’ 9-10 category, claiming victories in the 50 metres free (30.47 secs), 200 metres individual medley (2:52.84) and 100 metres breaststroke (1:34.42). (AT)
