New Year goal

THE COMBERMERE SCHOOL at Waterford, St Michael, should be back in full for the start of the new school term.

Minister of Education Ronald Jones, in revealing this yesterday, also announced that a protocol will be created to prevent other schools from suffering the Waterford institution’s fate.

Jones told the SATURDAY SUN yesterday, following The St Michael School’s speech day where he delivered the feature address, that Combermere would be reopening its doors to the 1 200 odd students soon.

“By January they [the students] should be in school and working hard and ensuring that they get the full commitment of all concerned,” Jones said. (AD)
