Cici takes the cake

JAZZ SINGER Celestine CiCi Duke put down a fantastic performance delighting the dozens of people attending Christmas on the Green Wednesday evening.

Singing The Christmas Song “Chestnuts Roasting”, O Holy Night and White Christmas which she dedicated to the late Clarence Thompson, she put a refreshing jazzy spin on the Christmas favourites and earned the applause of the audience in the City amphitheatre. 

For about 90 minutes the Royal Barbados Police Force served a tasty musical buffet of Christmas favourites that whet the appetite of those within earshot and demonstrated that this is indeed the most wonderful time of the year.

In keeping with the jubilant mood of the golden jubilee, Constable Sherry Benn sang Barbados My Island of Dreams after which the band played Hold You In A Song and later Sweet Soca monarch Edwin’s Home Sweet Home(GBM)
