PRIMARY SCHOOLS’ road tennis supremacy remains in the safe hands of St Cyprian’s Boys’ after they thrashed Wesley Hall Primary in a heated showdown to retain the title of the Cave Shepherd/Berger Royale/A One Supermarkets National Primary School’s Road Tennis Championship.

It was certainly nothing short of skill and determination which propelled them to their second straight win of the competition – now in its third year – at Rubis Courts, Brighton yesterday.

Spurred by a team effort, the St Cyprian’s squad, which included Aidan Parris, Marcus Whittington and Khaleb Gaskin, not only held on to the title but did so in fine style with an outstanding clean sweep 24-22, 22-20, 21-16 victory.

And coach Ramon Greaves said he was elated since some had doubts they would repeat. (RG)
