THE GLITZ AND GLAMOUR of Independence displays should be paired with excellent service.
That was the suggestion from chief executive officer of the National Initiative for Service Excellence (NISE), Kim Tudor. She said NISE applauded the efforts of many to enhance the island for the island’s 50th anniversary of Independence, but said the occasion also required businesses to ensure customers’ satisfaction during operations.
“The retail sector is one key community which has fully embraced the feeling of pride and patriotism which is sweeping across Barbados and many stores are resplendently decorated in the ultramarine, gold and black, our national colours.
“This outward display of patriotism, a reflection of the pride Barbadians have in our nation, should also be coupled with the delivery of service excellence, thus enhancing the customer’s experience and leaving a positive and lasting impression. This is especially key as we welcome residents, members of the diaspora and visitors from around the world,” she said. (LT)
