THE CAVE HILL Campus has signalled its intention to further modify its funding model, with intensified focus on raising money through its internationalisation programme.

That initiative has received a major boost with the campus securing approved status from the United States Department of Education’s National Committee on Foreign Medical Education, having met the standards for medical education.

In making the announcement yesterday, principal and pro-vice chancellor Eudine Barriteau said Cave Hill’s Faculty of Medicine is now the only medical school in Barbados that has been recognised by the United States Government as meeting its standards for comparability in the provision of medical education.

This means American students are now eligible for federal loans to study medicine in Barbados. (WILLCOMM)
