Police identify teen who died in crash

POLICE ARE CONTINUING their investigations into last night’s accident which claimed the life of a 17-year-old Mount Gay, St Lucy resident.

The deceased has been identified as Tre Sobers.

Police say Sobers was travelling in a route taxi  which overturned along Mount Gay Road around 9:25 p.m. 

It was driven by 27-year-old Tristan Phillips of Chance Hall, St Lucy.

Ten other people received injuries and were taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

They are:

Akeem Gooding, 25, of Jemmotts, St Lucy;

Nicoli Corbin, 19, of Josey Hill, St Lucy;

Dario Alleyne, 24,  of Alexandria, St Lucy;

Raymond Boyce, 26, of Mount Gay;

Tristan Phillips, 27, of Chance Hall, St Lucy;

Shaquille Springer, 19, of Aston Hall, St Peter;

Bradley Broomes, 30, of Alexandria;

Naterrry Roach, 22, of Mount Gay;

Adeloke Gittens, 32, of Alexandria and

Joval Daniel, 28, of Alexandria.

The group was returning from an outing when Phillips allegedly loss control of the vehicle which subsequently overturned along Mount Gay Road. (PR/NB)
