PRIME MINISTER Freundel Stuart has spoken out to defend his untalkative stance on many public issues.

Speaking to students of the St Bartholomew’s Primary School in Parish Land, Christ Church, Stuart said it was important for a prime minister to be able to get his country to feel comfortable.

He said if a prime minister could not get citizens to feel comfortable and at ease then he could not govern wisely.

This, Stuart said, was why he was not quick to respond to many things.

“You don’t hear this Prime Minister responding to everything. You’re not hearing this prime minister coming to the country over and over again every time there’s a sparing moment to say everything is going all right,” Stuart said. (AD)
