AN EMOTIONAL Melvia Callender says the pain she is feeling after her son was shot while attending a party on Sunday is enough to “kill” her.

Callender is now hoping that her injured 31-year-old son, Torian Gibson, who is recuperating at home, will overcome the ordeal and not become a young amputee from the injury to his right leg.

Masked gunmen burst into a fete in Black Rock, St Michael, in the wee hours of Sunday and opened fire.  Their attack resulted in the death of Jesse David Moore, 33, of Free Hill, Black Rock.

Both Gibson and 20-year-old Shaquille Hinkson, of Fairfield, Black Rock, were left nursing gunshot injuries, Hinkson in the abdomen. (MR)
