BARBADOS ARE STILL alive.
Darian King has forced a decisive fifth and final rubber in the relegation Davis Cup tie against the Dominican Republic after winning his reverse singles tennis match in straight sets.
Playing at the Centro Nacional De Tenis Parque Del Este in Santo Domingo, King saved a set point in the first before steamrolling to a 7-6(7), 6-1, 6-1 victory over world no.94 Victor Estrella.
The do-or-die demotion tie now rests on the racquet of Haydn Lewis, who must beat Jose Hernandez to ensure Barbados remains in Group I next season. (JM)
