THE SURINAMESE WATER that is coming from across the ocean won’t be leaving the ship that brings it here.

This confirmation has come from Amazone Resources, the Surinamese company behind the planned November 25 shipment of approximately two million litres of water to Barbados.

“As Minister of Agriculture Dr David Estwick stated in the Barbadian press, there will be no purchase or offloading of water in Barbados,” the company clarified in a press statement on Friday night.

“Amazone Resources will run a test shipment with their FlexTank, a big water container, before the end of November. The purpose of this shipment is to test the resilience of the FlexTank,” the statement added. (AD)
