Man stabbed in City bar

A WOMAN IS ASSISTING police with their investigations into a stabbing incident which occurred in The City early Saturday morning.

The incident occurred around 12:50 a.m. at Dira’s Bar, Reed Street, St Michael, where Alvin Fredericks, 38, of Oxnards, St James was injured.

Preliminary investigations suggest Fredericks was involved in an altercation with a woman, which resulted in him receiving a stab wound to his abdomen.

He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery and is listed as stable. (PR/SAT)
