Police find gun, ammo during routine stop

A ST MICHAEL MAN is scheduled to go before the courts today, charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Police say 54-year-old Jeffrey William Chandler of Ivy, St Michael was the driver of the vehicle where a gun and six rounds of ammunition were allegedly discovered during a routine stop on Friday night.

Police Officers from the Suppressing Criminal Activities Threatening Society (SCATS) Unit were on patrol duty conducting routine vehicular checks at Kew Road, Bank Hall, St Michael. 

Chandler is expected to appear before the District ‘A’ Criminal Court on Saturday. (PR/SAT)
