BARBADOS LABOUR PARTY (BLP) hopeful Sandra Husbands isn’t about to back down in her quest to become the Member of Parliament for St James South.
She feels she has put in the work on the ground, and is still the best choice to challenge incumbent Democratic Labour Party (DLP) opponent Donville Inniss, the Minister of Small Business and Commerce.
Ronnie Yearwood, the man she will battle against today for a chance to represent the people of St James South, says he’s no Johnny-come-lately.
The gauntlet has definitely been thrown down for the BLP nomination meeting this afternoon at 5 o’clock at the West Terrace Primary School.
Husbands, a management consultant making a second attempt for the constituency on a Barbados Labour Party (BLP) ticket, yesterday claimed she is still the best person for the job, even after a WEEKEND NATION report claimed the Opposition party would prefer Yearwood, an international trade specialist.
