THE VECTOR CONTROL UNIT of the Ministry of Health will continue its fogging programme this week in an effort to reduce the island’s mosquito population.
Tomorrow, the eradication programme will continue in St John in the areas of Welch Town, Sargeant Street, College Land and the environs.
On that same day, a fogging exercise will also take place in the Christ Church districts of Sargeant Village, Bartlett Road, Smith Road, Brownes Road, Sargeant Village Tenantry Road and neighbouring districts.
The team will visit St Michael on Wednesday to facilitate fogging in the areas of Spooners Hill, Rock Gap, Woodstock, Long Gap with Avenues, Rogers Terrace with Avenues, Pillersdorf Development, Piedmont Park, Grazettes Gardens, White Hall Main Road and the surrounding areas.
On Thursday, the Vector Control Unit will be in St Michael to spray Wildey, Gas Product Gap, Flagstaff, Ifill Road, Streats Road, Clapham Ridge, Clapham Park, Fordes Road and the environs.
It will also fog districts in Christ Church that same day, namely Rendezvous Ridge, Simmons Road, Club Morgan, Plantain Walk, Bonnets, Bonnets Housing Area and neigbouring districts.
Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the spray to enter. Fogging will take place between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. each day. (BGIS)
