THE FAMILY OF five-year old, who drowned on Saturday night, is devastated by his death.

A team from the DAILY NATION visited their Barbarees Hill, St Michael residence yesterday where his mother Sheena Jackson and grandmother Sandra Wharton live.

Numerous relatives were present and at least two of the women had bloodshot eyes – as if they had been crying.

The newspaper was told the family was in no position to speak.

However, during a very brief telephone conversation, grandmother Wharton seemed to be at a loss for words when she was asked how she was doing, but she did say she would contact us later.

Details about the St Cyprian Boys’ student’s death are still sketchy, but according to police reports, his body was pulled from a pool at Coverley Church on Saturday around 5:20 p.m.

He was said to have been playing in the pool with other children, but was later seen motionless in the water.

CPR was administered to the youngster before he was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. (TG)
