Captain’s hat-trick sets up classy 4-1 victory

CHRIST CHURCH SOUTH made light work of St Philip West when the David Thompson Memorial Constituency Councils Football Classic continued at Chapel playing field in St Philip on Friday night.

Christ Church South fell behind initially, but then rallied, thanks to a classy hat-trick from captain Armando “Sugar” Lashley, to eventually run out comfortable 4-1 winners.

The earlier game saw defending champions and unbeaten Christ Church East Central snatch a late 1-0 win against St Michael East, with an injury time strike coming from the seemingly unstoppable Jabarry “Pappy” Chandler.

Christ Church South had begun the game brightly, and may have counted themselves unlucky to fall behind the home team in the fifth minute.
