A COMPLAINANT’S PRESENCE in a Bridgetown court yesterday caused some debate between a senior lawyer and a prosecutor.

Queen’s Counsel Hal Gollop raised the concern as he appeared on behalf of client Ricky Kenneth Yearwood.

Yearwood, 45, of 3rd Avenue Grazettes, St Michael, pleaded not guilty to unlawfully and maliciously wounding Jameelia Wahid on October 8. He also denied that he damaged her car and entered her house as a trespasser with intent to inflict serious bodily harm on her that same day.

After the matter was called, the complainant came into the court, to the strong objection of Gollop. (TKS)
