THE SAGA involving Rastafarian couple Charles Lashley and Kim Jackman reached the Supreme Court yesterday.
The matter before the No. 9 Court was in relation to an application by the Child Care Board to make the two children wards of the court, after their parents were found guilty of failing to register them in a school, as required by the Education Act.
The DAILY NATION was informed that after legal submissions, the matter was adjourned until October 27, one day before the parents are scheduled to reappear in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court for sentencing.
Lawyers Ajamu Boardi and Sian Lange are representing the couple and grandmother, while Douglas Trotman is representing the children. (TKS)
