THE CONSTITUENCY KINGS have become a family business.
National forward Jabarry “Pappy” Chandler had a hat-trick, while brother Jamal added a goal of his own as Christ Church East Central blanked St Peter 4-0 in the latest action of the David Thompson Memorial Constituency Councils’ Football Classic.
Playing at Wotton, the two-time defending champs wasted no time stamping their authority on the proceedings as Jamal Chandler opened the scoring from the ninth minute.
But it was Jabarry the rest of the way, as the Barbados international scored goals from open play in the 20th and 70th that sandwiched a well-taken penalty (35th).
Earlier, Jomo Harewood had a brace to lead St Andrew to a 2-0 victory over St Michael South Central at the same venue.
Harewood did all his work in the first half, scoring in the 20th and 41st minutes to secure the win.
At Orange Hill, hosts St James North played to a thrilling 2-2 draw with Christ Church South in a game in which all four goals were scored in the first half.
The visitors went ahead in the 18th via Armando Lashley before St James struck back quickly with goals from Ramon Griffith (21st) and Rashad Phillips (30th).
Rakim Lashley (35th) then levelled the scores again for Christ Church South.
Carlo Perry, Mark Bushell and T’Shane Lorde all had solo strikes in St Philip South’s 3-0 victory over St Lucy at Orange Hill. (JM)
