SEVERAL PEOPLE from the island’s emergency services have gathered at the Department of Emergency Management (DEM).
From around 10 o’clock last night, personnel from the Royal Barbados Police Force, Barbados Defence Force, DEM, Barbados Fire Service and the Ministry of Health among others, gathered at the DEM’s Warrens Industrial Estate headquarters for a briefing.
With an incoming weather system expected to strike the island within the next few hours, the emergency experts were given their directives in the event they are forced into action. (RB)
