PARTICIPANTS OF this year’s Sport for Life (SFL) programme were given a breath of fresh air when interim chief executive officer of Kensington Oval Management Inc. (KOMI) Ben Toppin announced that they would be moving to a new facility “soon” .
Speaking at the opening ceremony yesterday, he said: “This year as you start [the programme], you would notice that there has been a change.
“Unfortunately, the programme has suffered a bit of a disruption after many years in one location. However, before the end of this calendar year we should have Sport for Life set up in even better facilities.”
Toppin told SUNSPORT the move would see the SFL programme leaving the Bond, formerly the Armstrong building, located just outside Kensington Oval, and taking up residence on the ground floor of the Hewitt & Inniss stand at the Oval. (RA)
