The deterioration of roads in some parts of St John is causing some cracks in the tourism sector.
One of Barbados’ leading tour companies, Foster and Ince Cruise Services has dropped a section of its island tour route that leads to Bath, St John, because of the bad roads.
Chief executive officer Martin Ince has indicated the company’s vehicles will not traverse that section of St John until the “deplorable” roads are repaired.
Ince said he had for a long time been expressing concern about the state of the roads in question and had in the past written letters to the Ministry of Transport and Works asking, to no avail, for repairs to be done. (GC)
