AFTER FORKING OUT more than $12 000 to participate in a football tournament in Guyana last month, the young players and their parents only made it as far as Grantley Adams International Airport.

Now they say they are prepared to tackle the banned Roland Waithe, the football coach behind the debacle, until every cent is returned.

However, Waithe, who was suspended from duties by the Barbados Football Association (BFA) for nine months, placed part of the blame on Government for not keeping its promise to assist with funding, noting that in any event, all but $2 500 had been repaid.

The parents told the DAILY NATION while all but one had been refunded most of the money, they were still upset by the whole affair and how it was handled by the coach. (MR)
