They made their concerns known on Friday during a meeting with Inniss and representatives from the Barbados Revenue Authority (BRA), the state revenue collection agency.
But yesterday, Inniss told the SUNDAY SUN that reactions to policies such as the levy was not unusual, and if anything, it was to be expected.
“There’s nothing unusual. When the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs put together their policies, they do consult with other ministries and stakeholders. One must appreciate that you cannot envisage all scenarios as you formulate policies,” Inniss said during a St James South community clean-up. (AD)
