NINETEEN SCHOOLS FROM St Philip and Christ Church have entered the Children’s Art Competition hosted by Grantley Adams International Airport (GAIA) Inc.
The competition, which is part of GAIA’s celebration of Barbados’ 50th anniversary of Independence, was launched this morning and runs through October 14.
Corporate communications specialist at GAIA, Keith Goddard, said all the entries will be displayed at various points of the airport, with the winning pieces given pride of place in the arrival and departure areas.
Goddard added that the children’s competition is part of the thrust to bring GAIA in line with airports across the world that are on board with the Arts in Airport Programme. (YB)
