Police appeal for information on hit-and-run

POLICE ARE CONDUCTING investigations into a hit-and-run accident which occurred around 4:20 a.m. this morning along Mapp Hill, St Michael, in the area of the service station.

Preliminary investigations suggest that 40-year-old pedestrian Tyrone Alexander of Ellerton, St George was struck on his hand and knocked to the ground by a white Toyota car.

He was treated on the scene by personnel from the Ambulance Service and subsequently opted to seek private medical attention.

Anyone who can provide information about the accident is asked to contact the police emergency number 211 or the nearest police station. (PR/NB)
