BARBADOS’ men finished in the top half of the Chess Olympiad for the first time despite losing their final match against Denmark in Azerbaijan yesterday.

Barbados lost 3-1 to 42nd ranked Denmark in the 11th and last round of games at Crystal Hall in the capital city, Baku.
