ERADICATION OF POVERTY in the region calls for not only lifting people out of poverty, but keeping them out of it.

That is the view of administrator of the United Nation Development Project, Helen Clark, who was speaking this morning at the launch of Caribbean Human Development Report: Multidimensional Progress: Human Resilience Beyond Income at Hilton Barbados.

The reports reveals new figures and sheds light on key policy recommendations that can help Caribbean countries achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Clark said the report is a sister to the Regional Human Development Report for Latin America and the Caribbean, which was launched in Panama in May. (YB)
