IT WAS SIMPLY a game of cops and robbers.
That is what the father of the six-year-old girl photographed with her hands and feet tied and lying on a bed with a six year-old boy whose hands and feet were also bound told the WEEKEND NATION yesterday.
The picture was first published on a popular social media blog under the caption: “Can You believe in these modern days parents believe that tying up children is a form of punishment?” It was also carried in yesterday’s DAILY NATION.
Investigators from Hastings Police Station, led by Sergeant Paul Vaughn, picked up the children and their mothers yesterday morning after searching their Brittons Hill, St Michael residence. After more than three hours of interrogation that included an officer from the Child Care Board, the two women were released without charge. (MB)
