Burger King buying local

THE POULTRY INDUSTRY has found an ally in businessman Ralph “Bizzy” Williams and his fast-food chain Burger King.

While speaking at the opening of the fifth branch on the island on Monday, franchise holder Williams said they had set out to create the tastiest and best chicken product.

And in his opinion, they had achieved this goal, through the increasing use of home-grown chicken which he praised for its quality.

“To give you the facts and figures, between 2015 and 2016, our use of local chicken has increased by 48 per cent. So that tells you something about the quality of the chicken,” Williams said during the ceremony for the Warrens, St Michael branch. (AD)
