DESPITE THEIR ELIMINATION from the CONCACAF Under-15 Championships in Orlando, Florida, the Barbados’ girls Under-15 football team made an impressive improvement on their 2014 performance.
After losing all of their matches two years ago, Barbados finished second in Group B this time.
They won the first two matches, beating United States Virgin Islands 9-0 and Anguilla 2-0 before losing their final game 3-0 to Curacao.
However, coach Thomas Jordan was satisfied with the performance of the girls.
“I think they did relatively okay. Most of them were first-timers and that was their first international experience, so obviously their nerves would be settling in for the first,” he told WEEKENDSPORT.
